Method:

Before you make your hot chocolate mixture, place your dark chocolate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, so it is cold and solid.

Then, unwrap the chocolate bar and place it in a food processor. Blitz it until it is in fine pieces, then add the rest of the ingredients along with a pinch of salt.

After that, pour the hot chocolate mixture into an airtight jar with a lid and then store it in your cupboard until you are ready to make your drink.

To make one hot chocolate, simply add a mugful of milk and two heaped tablespoons of the mixture into a pan. Add more depending on how many hot chocolates you are making.

Then, bring the drink to a simmer and let the milk heat over medium heat for five minutes, stirring it regularly.

Pour the silky smooth hot chocolate into a mug and then let it cool for around one minute.

Add some squirty cream, a generous amount of marshmallows, and a grating of chocolate if you wish, and your mouthwatering hot chocolate is ready to drink.
