Travis have been on a world tour, but Fran performed one of their hits in a more intimate venue
A famous lead from the 90s surprised pub-goers with a karaoke rendition of his own song at a local pub.
The indie music star, who was enjoying an evening out with friends in central Glasgow, decided to give those at the bar a treat by performing his smash hit from 1999.
The enthusiastic performance at the Horseshoe Bar in the city certainly impressed the crowd, leading to an impromptu sing-along in the pub.
Fran Healy, lead singer of Travis, posted a video of his intimate performance on , commenting: “When in the Horseshoe Bar after 9pm… and they put your song on..”

The indie sing-along hit comes from the second studio album by Travis; The Man Who. Released in 1999, the song hit number 10 in the UK singles chart.
Fran certainly left an impression and added a jovial atmosphere to the pub, with many locals leaving cheeky comments on his video.
A member of the audience joked: “I’ve heard better versions in there!! Only joking – thanks for lighting up people’s Christmas week.” Fran responded: “I have too hahahaha.”
Regulars are hailing Fran Healy as a “top man,” with one saying:”What a pleasure, Fran. A definite highlight of my 30+ years as Horseshoe compere. Thanks so much for being a top man. Hope you and the guys have an amazing gig tonight.”
Another joked: “Well done mate – you didn’t even have to look at the words once.”

This comes as his band Travis continues their UK tour, after performing at the OVO Hydro, Glasgow on December 20, with Fran’s performance catching online attention the following day on December 21.
Their Raze the Bar tour showcased the crowd-pleaser Why Does It Always Rain on Me? during the encore, alongside a cover of Paul McCartney’s Mull of Kintyre.
The set was studded with hits including tracks from their celebrated album The Man Who, with songs like Driftwood, Turn, and Writing to Reach You included in their 19-song set list.
