Britain has produced many of the world’s great boxers. Joe Calzaghe, David Haye, Frank Bruno, Ricky Hatton, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, and Sir Henry Cooper, are all considered some of this country’s best boxing exports.

However, none of those listed are in Britain’s top three earning fighters of all time, according to

However, it’s Lennox Lewis that is the country’s highest-ever earning prize fighter. Lennox is reported to be worth more than £95 million, after rising to super stardom in the 1990s.

In a career that saw him defeat Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson, the British-Canadian boxer is sixth on the all-time earnings list.

He sits ahead of Sugar Ray Leonard, who earned fractionally less than Lennox, and Oscar De La Hoya. However, even De La Hoya, who is said to be worth nearly £160 million, is still half as rich as the highest-earning boxer the world has ever seen.
