If you dream about living in a sought after area in London you may want to rethink your plans as the most expensive street in Knightsbridge will set you back a mindblowing £21.4m to live there.
Home to high-end boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels, is renowned for being a wealthy, upscale neighborhood in the heart of .
Located in the London boroughs of Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea, Knightsbridge is a beacon of luxury, and those lucky enough to call this borough home will surely have deep pockets.
The road in the heart of the capital tops the list compiled by lender Lloyds, which analysed average prices between 2019 and 2024.
London dominated the list with the UK’s 10 most expensive streets all being in the capital, with an average price tag of £16.5 million.
Knightsbridge is a beacon of luxury
Amanda Bryden, Head of Mortgages, Lloyds said: “London’s dominance in the list of priciest streets underscores the city’s continued appeal and the resulting competitiveness at the very top end of the property market. However, at £21.4 million to buy a home, even those with the deepest pockets might baulk at the price.”
Coming not far behind in second place is just over two miles away, Ilchester Place, located in the Holland Park area of Kensington.
Designed by Leonard Martin betwen 1869–1935 Ilchester Place was formerly known as Holland Lane, the average property here will set wealthy buyers back a whopping £19.4 million.
Here large expensive houses on the north side of the street back onto the very Holland Park itself.
Rounding out the top three is Grosvenor Square (last year’s most expensive), one of the largest squares in London, where properties now cost an average £19 million.

Properties in Grosvenor Square cost an average pf £19 million
The garden square has been one of London’s most well-known prime addresses since the 18th century, and its grand mansions have attarcted an array of famous faces across the years.
Outside of the capital, East Road in Weybridge is the most expensive. The average home here comes in at just over £8 million, still a considerable price tag.
Residents in Weybridge know they are never far from the big city whilst still enjoying the suburban charm.
Elsewhere, Wales has some of the lowest most expensive properties in the UK. With a price tag of £1.3m Benar Headland in Pwllheli is again the most expensive street in Wales.
Ms Bryden said: “The cost of securing a prestigious address does vary across the country. For instance, living on the most expensive street in Wales means paying around £1.3 million, although still a significant amount.”
Expensive streets in the North are cheaper than in the South. A property on Barrow Lane in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, will set buyers back £2.9 million.
