The Doctor Who Christmas special, titled Joy To The World, is scheduled to air on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, at 5.10pm on One and iPlayer.
The episode will only be available to watch from this release time onwards on the streaming platform, meaning fans won’t be able to preview it ahead of time on iPlayer.

Leading the cast is ‘s Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa, who took over as the new Doctor Who in last year’s Christmas special.
He’ll be joined by guest star Nicola Coughlan, known for her roles in Derry Girls and Bridgerton, who plays Joy, a woman who checks into a London hotel and discovers a secret entrance to the Time Hotel.
The hotel uses this to offer stays throughout history, leading Joy to encounter “dinosaurs, danger and the Doctor”.
Other notable cast members include Trollied’s Joel Fry, Good Omens’ Jonathan Aris and Casualty’s Julia Watson.
