Coronation Street star rages that ‘ITV has no money’ in bizarre rant

Sally Ann Matthews, who portrays Jenny Bradley in ITV’s , has unleashed a peculiar rant online, claiming that ITV is strapped for cash and expressing her disdain for filming on location.

During an Live session, she responded to a fan’s question about her preferred filming locations with a candid revelation: “We don’t do on location … right … ok so the whole ‘ doesn’t do location any more.’ Thankfully because I fricking hate being on location – location is s**t – I hate it.”

She continued with a touch of irony, “So I’m glad ITV have got no money – am I allowed to say that? Well I have said it.”

She then began to express another dislike before stopping herself. In June, Sally Ann caused concern among fans by suggesting she might be absent from the show for some time, telling them not to expect to see Jenny on their screens “for a while”.

Jenny Bradley, first introduced as Alan Bradley’s troubled daughter in 1986, has been a staple character in the soap, with stints from 1986 to 1991, a brief return in 1993, and a full-time comeback since 2015.

Despite this, there has been recent speculation about her potentially leaving the show for good.

In the same Live chat, Sally Ann confessed she hasn’t been on set for a considerable period, stating: “I chose to get on an airplane because I’m particularly quiet at work”, reports .

Suggesting a lengthy hiatus, she added, “I’ve got like a million years off, so I chose to go on an airplane. I’ve been to Cyprus twice in the past five weeks and we landed last night and we came back.”

“My next holiday plans are on Saturday, we’re going to go off on the boat. And then I’m going to just chill on the boat and do nowt, pretty much. And then I’m going to go back to Cyprus, and do nowt. And at some point I might get a job and someone might employ me, potentially,” she added.
