The Duke and Duchess of Sussex , which featured six pictures that were thought to reflect the couple’s year, including one showing their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
read: “On behalf of the office of and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions, and Archewell Foundation, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year.”
Royal commentator Rupert Bell spoke to and suggested it was Meghan who was behind the Sussexes’s Christmas message.
He said: “Happy Holidays is a very American thing to do, so it would suggest that it was Meghan who had the call on that. It almost looks like a business card. Why couldn’t they just put one with their family? Just like everybody else? The King hasn’t put a picture of him being in Australia. They’re just trying to show ‘look at us, we’re still relevant’. It’s trying too hard, in my eyes, in what this card says.”
