Add salt to boiling water to kill moss and weeds
While Paul raved over the effectiveness of this technique, he warned that salt may harm certain patio materials.
To ensure your paving slabs remain unscathed, it’s wise to conduct a patch test before treating the entire area.
Paul revealed that white vinegar can also effectively tackle weeds and moss on patios.
To try this method, combine equal parts and water in a bucket, then pour the solution onto the patio and scrub it with a stiff-bristled brush.
He explained: “The acid in the vinegar will help to break down dirt and grime, while the water will dilute the vinegar and prevent it from damaging your patio.”
Following a thorough scrub, rinse the patio with water. If stubborn stains persist, consider repeating the process or using a more concentrated vinegar solution. Paul assured that this technique is “safe, effective, and eco-friendly”.
