It is now almost the most wonderful time of the year and many people are planning some mouthwatering meals, but it can be tricky to cook if your air fryer is not properly cleaned.

Keeping your air fryer can be tricky as if fatty residues are not wiped away they can become burned into the surface and will not budge unless you spend ages scrubbing them.
However, Danielle Davenport, a cleaning expert who goes by online, has shared there is a “quick and easy” method to clean an air fryer without much effort.
According to Danielle, the solution is to place a dishwasher tablet into the basket or drawer of your air fryer, pour in some hot water and then leave it is dissolve the baked-on stains.

Danielle said: “Here’s how I clean my air fryer with dishwasher tablets. I pop one dishwasher tablet in each drawer and leave it to soak in boiling water for around half an hour.
“Then I simply empty and rinse. It is as easy as that.”
Dishwasher tablets have been designed to remove stubborn grease, food and oil from dishes and cutlery but will also work wonderfully to clean away these same stains from air fryers.
Once the tablet is dissolved in warm water, it will release detergents that will loosen the baked-on stains so they can be removed by rinsing them out afterwards rather than scrubbing.
This is a great method to get a sparkling clean air fryer without having to spend ages swabbing the stains with a cloth and without having to spend lots of money on an expensive degreaser.
Once you have left the dishwasher tablet for 30 minutes to dissolve, toss the dirty water down the sink and give your air fryer a quick rinse.
Then, wipe it with a dry clean cloth and make sure it has completely dried before turning it on again.
Danielle added: “The dishwasher tablets will break down all the fats and oils, so it can go down your drain so do not worry about that.
“This is definitely one of my favourite methods because it is just so quick and easy to do. “
