Aldi is introducing a stringent ‘two per person’ rule at all its UK stores starting next week. From December 27 to December 31, Aldi is implementing a policy limiting customers to just two bottles of a sought-after new per person.

During these five days, the price of celebrated Crémant De Loire sparkling will be slashed from £8.99 down to a mere £4.99. This significant reduction means that shoppers can secure two bottles for a total of just £9.98 – perfect timing for late-Christmas and New Year’s festivities.

Aldi is enforcing this new purchasing cap to ensure fair access to the deal amidst anticipated shopping surges. This bubbly is foreseen to whip up a storm among buyers due to its staggering 44% discount.

After it being highlighted as “steal of the season” by renowned wine critic Jane MacQuitty of The Times, the supermarket chain is bracing for an extraordinary rush of customers eager to take home this product. Part of Aldi’s latest Autumn Winter selection, the Specially Selected Crémant De Loire has garnered acclaim for its delightful blend of “mouthwatering, creamy, honey flecked, quince and golden apple fruit”.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at budget supermarket giant Aldi UK, highlighted their commitment to affordable celebration, stating: “We want everyone to be able to raise a glass of quality wine this festive period, without breaking the bank. By lowering the price of our exquisite Crémant De Loire to just £4.99 and introducing a two-bottle limit, we’re ensuring more customers can experience this exceptional sparkling wine at an unbelievable price.”

Ahead of the December 27th markdown, Aldi is also reducing prices on over 60 selections from its Specially Selected wine range by as much as 25% through to New Year’s Eve.
