Netflix heartthrob new favourite to be James Bond, according to reports

Since its debut, the James Bond franchise has seen seven actors play 007 in 27 different films. These include , David Niven, George Lazenby, , Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and .

Now, fresh reports are circulating that Josh O’Connor could be tipped to replace Daniel. According to The Reporter, they are suggesting that

Best known for his portrayal of Prince Charles in ‘s The Crown, Josh has recently appeared alongside Zendaya in the film, Challengers.

Meanwhile, been favoured amongst bookies to be the next Bond for a long period of time over the past 12 months.

Known for his roles in films from ‘Kick-Ass’ to ‘Nocturnal Animals’, Aaron has been at the forefront of the 007 conversation and he would be the youngest Bond ever to fill the role at the age of just 34-years-old.

It was reported earlier this year that Aaron has been “offered” the role by the franchise producers at EON. in The Sun announced that the role was his for the taking but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Almost three years have passed since Craig’s final outing as the secret service agent hit cinema screens, and the race to fill the famous tuxedo is now certainly hotting up.

Other name that have also been suggested include Henry Cavill.

According to data from , Henry could be swapping The Witcher for a more action-packed life as Agent 007 as bookmakers have analysed “the number of Google searches, the number of articles, article engagement and mentions.”

After searching through 31 potential replacements, Cavill’s name came out on top as “the internet’s favourite person to play the next Bond”.

Betway Casino claims that Cavill “also has the most mentions discussing the likelihood of him playing the role, at 120 overall from the threads analysed”.

With a combined gross of over £5.7 billion to date, the Bond franchise is the fifth-highest-grossing film series of all time. The last installement came out in 2021, with departing the role in the film ‘No Time To Die.’
