A set of the “best sheets known to man”

Far and away, the top seller from Target we noticed in 2024 was a set of these 100% cotton, 400 thread count sheets that are available in so many patterns and colors. The printed and solid versions combine for almost 24,000 reviews and an average rating of about 4.3 stars. The sheets fit mattresses up to 18 inches tall, are wrinkle-, pill- and shrink-resistant, and even have top and bottom labels so making the bed is easy-peasy. Each set comes with a flat sheet, fitted sheet and one or two pillowcases, depending on the size (twin/twin XL-California king).

Promising review:I bought these on sale once and then promptly got rid of all my other sheet sets because I love these so much! Now these are the only sheets I use- and they get softer with each wash! I’ve gotten a few stains on them before, and they’ve always come out easily in the wash without removing any of the pattern colors. The double band elastic is a life saver. I have a deep mattress and am a restless sleeper, so the edges of my fitted sheets were constantly popping off the mattress with other sets. I have NEVER had that issue with these sheets. And I love there are so many pattern options!” — MJ

A hard shell suitcase that rivals a more expensive brand

Shopping writer Lourdes Avila Uribe sang the praises of her suitcase from Target back in January, and it remained a top seller throughout the year. It’s hard not to see the physical resemblance between this hardside roller carry-on and similar options from luxury brand Away, which retails for hundreds of dollars.

But this Open Story suitcase is more than just looks: It’s water-resistant, expandable, has a zippered compartment and cross straps to keep your things secure and Uribe wrote that the frame is lightweight enough to prevent it from feeling clunky. Grab it now in nine colors.

A maxi shirtdress that can be dressed up or down

We originally called this bestseller a “spring dress” back in February, but a maxi shirtdress as versatile as this one can get year-round play in your wardrobe. It’s full-coverage but still breezy, and would look right at home at the office, at brunch, on vacation and in so many more places. The dress has a cinched elastic waist, side slits for movement and breathability and pockets(!). Right now, it’s only available in white. You can grab one in sizes M-XL (reviewers agree that the dress runs large).

Promising review: “I finally bought this after seeing many women wearing it around. It is so worth it – comfortable, good colors, and love that you are able to change the styling by rolling the sleeves and tightening the waist. One of the best Target finds yet.” — Laura

A workhorse Cuisinart air fryer toaster oven combo

While I don’t own this exact Cuisinart air fryer oven model, I bought a now-discontinued older model of a similar version years ago that I still swear by. This kitchen workhorse has seven functions (air fry, toast, bake, convection bake, broil, convection broil and warm). It can fit up to a 12-inch pizza, and included in your purchase are a drip tray, frying basket and oven rack.

I can’t stress enough how useful this thing is for saving counter space on so many appliances — not to mention making mealtime arrive so much faster and without heating up the whole kitchen like a traditional oven would. It makes sense, then, that this appliance would be near the top among the bestselling products in our coverage of Target’s Black Friday deals.

Right now, Target is selling this for 57% off, which means you can save $130 for a limited time. Don’t wait!

A minimalist and stylish clock

This stylish rectangular clock harkens back to a simpler time, and was another bestseller this year. It’s reminiscent of a design icon, the Newgate Wideboy clock, that boasts similarly clean sans serif numbers and atomic dials. One notable difference, however, is that this Target find rings up well under its high-end counterpart at just $15.

While it’s also two inches smaller than its high-design cousin and lacks an alarm, it’s sure to instantly class up your decor. All it takes is one AA battery to get it up and running.

Several reviewers point out how astonishingly quiet this clock is too, so there’s no stressing about the ticking clock interrupting your train of thought or REM cycle.

A “suitcase in backpack form” that’s the ultimate travel hack

Travelers flocked to this suitcase-backpack hybrid when we wrote about it back in March. It’s certainly a unique and convenient carry-on option for those who don’t like lugging around roller bags. The bag avoids the classic backpack problem of having to dig to the bottom to find all your stuff, thanks to the clamshell closure that unzips all the way to open flat.

The bag has a top and side handle, like a suitcase, but also has classic padded shoulder straps so you can carry it like a backpack. It’s water-resistant, has tons of pockets including one that can fit a 17-inch laptop and comes in four colors.

And if you’re worried about size requirements, reviewers have brought it onto flights with Delta, Frontier, European airlines and more with success.

Promising review: “I’ve used this backpack for a year now, on several trips and it’s been great! It’s comfortable on the shoulders and back. Good amount of compartments and space to keep things right where you want them. Ive used this backpack on flights with a European carrier and the sizing was no issue. I don’t pack it extremely full so that it isn’t heavy on my shoulders. Highly recommend this bag!” — Makeup Fan TN

A popular unscented retinol body lotion

Treat your skin to a firming, smoothing and brightening cream from Versed. Made specifically for dry and aging skin, it uses the power of encapsulated retinol alongside deeply hydrating ingredients like cocoa butter and vitamin E. The cream is also unscented and safe for sensitive skin.

Promising review: “Really helping with my easily bruised, crepey skin but did take several months to see a difference. I do use it daily and another one at night. Retinol might do the trick here. Do not expect miracles I still have older thinner skin but it’s truly making a difference” — LPP

The ninth-generation Apple iPad

Apple products have been popular for nearly as long as they’ve been around, so this ninth-generation iPad selling like hotcakes whenever it went on sale this year should shock no one. You can get it now in two colors and storage sizes (64GB or 256GB). The iPad has a 10.2-inch display, A13 bionic chip and all-day battery life, making it great for streaming, reading, drawing, gaming, video chatting and so, so much more.

A heated Brookstone throw blanket

When Brookstone’s heated blankets went on sale in December, this heated throw was a favorite. The blanket is 50 by 60 inches and has four heat settings with a built-in controller (the heat turns off automatically after four hours). You can get the blanket in four plush fabrics, all of which have a plush reverse and are machine-washable — just make to sure follow the care instructions on the label.

Promising review: “Absolutely love this heated throw, it’s bigger than I was expecting and it warms up quickly and stays warm.(I keep it at the highest setting) Love that it looks like a knitted throw on the couch and the other side is fluffy and soft. The cord is a good length too. Very happy with this!” — tk5656

Or this ultra-soft microfiber sheet set that starts at just $10

What can we say? Bedding was big this year. We certainly found that out when shoppers ran to buy this microfiber sheet set we named as a contender for “the softest sheets you’ll ever sleep on” in October.

Although they’re not quite as popular as the other sheets we included in this list, they are much more affordable — and they still have 4.6 stars across almost 14,000 ratings, so Target reviewers can vouch for these. Grab them in a bunch of colors and patterns, in sizes twin/twin XL-king.

These plush, 100% cotton Threshold spa towels

In addition to the Threshold sheet set that was our top seller of the year, these towels from the same brand were also popular when we covered them in September. They’re sold as single towels, making it easy to build your own set to your desires — just choose from washcloths, hand, bath and oversized bath towels. There are also a bunch of colors available. The towels are made from 100% terry cotton, are machine-washable and have a feel that one reviewer described as “amazingly soft and fluffy.”

The Ninja Foodi features two three-quart baskets with two sets of buttons so you can cook things simultaneously on their respective settings — with a wide temperature range between 105 and 400 degrees. “It is so much faster and easier than the oven which is key with little kids,” one Target reviewer notes.

The Bissell Little Green Max Pet portable carpet cleaner

Though it’s not the original Bissell Little Green, the Max Pet portable carpet cleaner is still great, as we noted back in July. It has a 32-ounce capacity water tank and a triple action method of spray, scrub, and suction to get out tough messes and odors. It can even self-clean its own hose and tool with one touch, and the two-tank technology keeps clean and dirty water separate. The 15-foot cord allows you to clean behind the couch or in those other hard-to-reach spots.

Included with the Max Pet is the Tough Stain Tool, Specialized Pet Hair Removal Tool, and an 8-ounce bottle of Bissell’s Pet Pro Oxy Spot & Stain with Urine Eliminator and StainProtect Technology.

Heads up: Right now, the Little Green is on sale for $50 off its usual price.
