Friday’s instalment of the programme (December 20) saw presenters and at the helm, sharing the day’s top headlines from around the nation with fans.
It wasn’t long before the show was hit with complaints however, as fans took to social media to share their frustrations.
One fumed: “Seriously #GMB is #AdilRay the best you can do? Watched the first 20 mins this morning and he’s fluffing his lines on the autocue and asking banal questions. Painful to watch. Had to turn it over! Seriously amateur.”
Another wrote: “Cannot watch when Adil Ray is on.”

Also revealing they were changing the channel, another penned: “Adil Ray on GMB so now watching SKY TV.”
Echoing this, fourth shared: “Can’t watch today.. Adil Ray is on and can’t stand his shouting and opinions.. quicker he goes the better, it’s today.”
Others jumped to the defence of the 50-year-old, with one writing: “Why does everyone hate Adil? He’s one of the only competent presenters.”
During the show, Adil received a telling off from Charlotte. The duo were joined by Shirlie Kemp and Andrew Ridgeley to speak about their documentary, Wham!.
Charlotte, 49, pointed out the pair’s long-standing friendship since their school days, prompting Andrew to reminisce.

He said: “We grew up together really, we spent some of the most significant years of our lives.”
Adil interjected to probe the pair about their past relationship, asking: “You two were dating at one point weren’t you?”
Andrew replied: “We stepped out,” as Shirlie quipped: “I like that.”
Curious for more, Adil probed whether Shirlie had been chaperoned on dates, referencing George Michael’s role in her first date with husband Martin Kemp.
Shirlie, 62, laughed off the question, prompting Charlotte to call out Adil for the remark: “They might not want to talk about the details!”
Andrew assured them: “I was extremely well brought up. I know how to behave,” before Adil wrapped up the topic, saying, “Ah, I love that.”
