Passenger service is expected to resume around noon on Friday
A landslide in White Rock has temporarily halted Amtrak service between Vancouver and Seattle.

The slide occurred Wednesday night, with mud and rocks covering the tracks between White Rock and Crescent Beach.
As a result of the slide, railway owner BNSF suspended passenger service between the two cities for 48 hours. Amtrak is offering affected passengers alternative transportation.
Amtrak said trains are expected to resume operations around noon on Friday.
On Thursday, the company provided alternate bus transportation for customers on trains 516, 517, 518 and 519.
For Friday, customers travelling south to Seattle on train 517 will be offered bus transportation while customers travelling north on train 516 will be held in Bellingham, Wash. for an open track.
