It looks like New York City really is a rat’s paradise.
In a new interview with Architectural Digest, supermodel Gigi Hadid revealed that even her plush NoHo pad has been plagued with rodent issues.
Asked about the “one thing” she’d want to change about her penthouse, the Vogue covergirl admitted, “My outdoor space in New York is getting a little update because we had a rat problem in New York, and some of the original designs of the space didn’t help that problem.”
She went on to say that the remodel was something she’s really “looking forward to.”
Luckily, the fashionista has someplace to get away from her vermin dilemma.
Hadid, a mother of one, splits her time between her NYC digs and her family’s New Hope, Pennsylvania, farm.
While the Big Apple’s pest problem has been so intense that Mayor Eric Adams appointed a “rat czar” in 2023, the city is not considered the most rodent-ridden place in the nation, according to pest control company Orkin.
When the extermination experts released their list of “rattiest” cities in October, NYC was slotted at No. 3, right behind sunny Los Angeles.
Chicago earned the top spot for the 10th year in a row.
