Samsung winter sale can see you save big on the Galaxy S24 FE

If you are looking for a budget phone that delivers great hardware specs without needing to pay the absurd prices of a high-end smartphone, might have the winter deal for you.

That’s because it has brought in a great cashback deal which means you can get £150 back into your bank account when you buy . It currently costs £649 – but with the £150 cashback you can get it for £499… and there might be a way you can get it even cheaper.

Samsung also allows you to trade in your old devices to go towards the cost of the phone so depending on what you trade in, you could even more. , the FE phones are slightly cheaper versions of the regular and Plus versions of the Galaxy S, with the S24 FE costs £649. That’s £150 less than the regular S24 but the FE has the same 6.7-inch screen size as the larger S24 Plus.

It retains triple camera lenses and a 50MP main camera sensor, with a 12MP ultrawide and 8MP 3x optical telephoto lens. You also get a generous 4,700mAh battery that should keep things ticking into a second day, plus a choice of blue, graphite, mint or yellow models. 

However, the display is different to the usual S24, and the FE cuts some specs corners to reach the lower price. The display is less power efficient than the ones on the regular S24s, and it uses the Exynos 2400e chipset, as opposed to the full-fat 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The FE’s design is also a little chunkier and less refined, with a flat glass back and flat aluminium sides.

It’s a great phone if you don’t like the idea of paying almost £1000 for a good smartphone – and it will last you years. But if you want to look elsewhere for some deals,  – but be aware: these are long 36-month contracts, so while the monthly rate is cheaper you’ll be tired in for a lot longer.  not including the airtime plan.
