Eamonn Holmes ‘blindsided’ after TV wife suddenly axed in major GB News shake-up

is reportedly “reeling” following the news his co-presenter will not be returning to their Breakfast Show. The devastated presenter, 65, expected to return to in 2025 alongside his long-time co-host and TV wife.

According to The Sun, talks with Isabel about a new contract broke down at the last minute – leaving Eamonn stunned.

A TV source said Eamonn is “reeling” from the news he’s already presented his last show with Isabel.

The insider added: “Eamonn has loved working with Isabel over the years and they’re incredibly popular with viewers as a duo.

“They were both fully expecting to reunite in 2025 after doing their final show of the year yesterday.

“It was a real shock to everyone involved. Eamonn’s gutted about it and the fact that he’s been blindsided has made it even worse.

“Isabel’s been a massive source of comfort to him during a terribly difficult year following his separation from Ruth. He’s still reeling from the news.”

Isabel, 41, has hosted the GB News Breakfast show with Eamonn, 65, since its launch in 2022. She previously worked for Sky News and the .

A GB News spokesperson said on Wednesday: “Ellie Costello will now co-host GBN Breakfast five days a week, presenting alongside Eamonn Holmes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and with Stephen Dixon on Thursday and Friday. Stephen and Anne Diamond will continue to co-present GB News Breakfast at Weekends.”

The news comes which has also seen Mark Dolan “relieved from his duties”.

Eamonn began working with Isabel on Sky News in September 2016.

He left two years later to pursue other opportunities, including his Friday hosting duties with Ruth on ITV’s This Morning.

After being axed amid a feud with then-presenter , Eamon joined GB News in January 2022.
