However, Charlie began speaking before apologising to Carol. He said: “Sorry Carol, I interrupted you there. Say again.” She then repeated herself, sharing: “No I was just saying Happy Christmas because I don’t think I’ll see any of you before Christmas, either of you. So Happy Christmas!” Charlie then said: “Oh isn’t that nice.”

Naga then added: “Oh she can be sometimes, she can be sometimes. See you later!”

It’s been a great year for Carol, with the presenter having tied the knot earlier this year to partner Steve.

Sharing the news live on Breakfast earlier this year, she said: “It was the most perfect and romantic and intimate wedding. We are both so incredibly happy.”

She also opened up about his sweet proposal, adding: “We went out for a picnic, I had absolutely no idea. The weather was glorious, we were sitting chatting… he was fumbling in his pocket and then out came a ring, I thought he was joking actually, I didn’t believe him to start with.”

Carol and Steve’s romance has only been going from strength to strength and recently, she heaped praise on her partner and described him as “tall, handsome, kind, gentle, strong, funny, charming”.

Speaking about what makes her happiest at home, she told House Beautiful: “My husband, Steve. If he’s at home, I’m happy. I don’t need anything else. He’s tall, handsome, kind, gentle, strong, funny, charming. He’s a gentleman. He’s good at cooking. I could wax lyrical about Steve forever!”
