Jessica Simpson’s new look has social media in a tizzy, as she’s unrecognizable while attempting a musical comeback.
“I can’t wait for y’all to hear the soundtrack of my soul,” the American pop star, actress and fashion designer captioned the photo late Monday, which has shocked some fans.
In the pic, Simpson is seen leaning back on a chair in her Nashville music room while wearing a black blazer atop a white outfit, fishnet stockings and high-heeled black cowboy boots.
But some of her followers were more concerned about her fresh transformation.
“What has she done to herself?” one person asked. “This doesn’t even look like her.”
Others said they don’t even recognize her and called it sad.
Some compared the new look to Ivanka Trump, Paris Hilton, Kim Zolciak, and one of the Kardashian clan.
“These ladies in Hollywood all look alike,” another commented. “I honestly can’t tell them apart. They’re pretty, but they look the same.”

Others came to the 44-year-old celebrity’s defence.
“She seems healthy, happy, and free, so maybe y’all should just applaud her for living authentically and keep it moving,” one supporter wrote.
“I don’t understand why people feel the need to be so mean,” another added. “She is talented and beautiful and not giving up on life. Lift people up, it’s so much healthier.”
Simpson, who hasn’t released an album of new material since 2010, also shared some glamorous poses last month to tease her long-awaited return to music, possibly hinting at her rumoured separation from husband and former NFL player Eric Johnson.
“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,” she wrote. “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
While sister Ashlee Simpson has denied rumours of a possible divorce, it was reported last month that the couple no longer attends school events together for their children — daughters Maxwell, 12, Birdie Mae, 5, and son Ace, 11.
“As you can imagine, there’s been a lot of gossip among the parents.”
