Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen has carved out a career bringing form to the farm as much as function, with her trademark Yorkshire Shepherdess style always catching attention on camera.
But mum-of-nine , who now stars on new show : Amanda, Clive and Kids on Channel 4’s More 4 channel, has always kept true to her roots in one key way.
While Amanda has always showed off glam threads as much as the wellies and raincoats on her Ravenseat farm in the remote , there’s one part of her outfit which has remained the same all through her life, even before she was a farmer.

Amanda said her bangles have a ‘sentimental value’
Amanda did try her hand at modelling for a while, but before that she worked at a takeaway.
Here, she was handed a gift by a little girl whose family worked at the Bangledeshi takeaway and was learning English at the time.
Amanda, complete with her Huddersfield lilt, taught the little girl to speak English and in return was gifted a set of bangles.
Amanda told Radio 4 why she still keeps them around, all these years later: “It’s a link to my femininity whilst working on the farm.”
“They do break, they’re only wire and yes, they’re bent and manky and my arm is all discoloured underneath but they’re sentimental to me.”
Amanda doesn’t seem worried that they might get trapped in a machine and rip her arm off though, adding: “If they were going to, they would have done by now!”
She even admitted that her nine-strong brood of kids often use them as an early warning system, adding: “They hear me coming and rush to put away or clean or throw out the window whatever they were doing!”,
has picked up where left off, broadcasting a brand new 10 episode run of a show focusing on the entire Yorkshire Dales family, including separated husband and wife Amanda Owen and Clive Owen and kids Raven Owen, Reuben Owen and several others of the Owen clan.
The first five episodes were a hit with fans of the Owens, although some commented that Amanda is looking more trim than ever, having lost weight in the time since the end of Our Yorkshire Farm, while several of the Owen kids have shot up – while eldest daughter Raven has left home for good.
Our Farm Next Door will return for five more new episodes on More 4 in 2025.
