Rashford – who earns £300,000 a week at Old Trafford – was also dropped from Sunday’s squad and training at United’s Carrington facility just hours before the game. ‘s decision to exclude the forward is the latest indicator yet that he could be considered surplus to requirements.
The early signs were positive for Rashford under Amorim after he scored three goals across the Portuguese manager’s first two games in charge of the club. But with both parties seemingly open to moving in new directions, United look set to jump at their chance and test the transfer waters by cashing in on his signature.
