Rashford, in particular, seems to be facing a bleak future at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with an exit and could seal a departure in January or at the end of the campaign. It remains to be seen whether he is involved in United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against .
Amorim’s decision was justified as he secured the biggest victory of his short reign so far. Amad Diallo was hugely impressive in United’s late comeback, winning the penalty from which equalised before scoring a stunning late goal to help the Red Devils win 2-1.
It remains to be seen if United are active in the January market. In addition to new forwards, a left-wing-back could also be beneficial.
