Gino D’Acampo with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix.
Gino D’Acampo openly discussed why ITV bosses are left on edge when he’s at the helm of a show, despite his nonchalance towards any surrounding criticism.
The chef, who has appeared on This Morning since 2009, is well-acquainted with the broadcaster and has taken the lead in several programmes including Family Fortunes, Gino’s Italian Escape, and Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.
Known for occasionally causing a stir with his unfiltered style on TV, the star divulged to Heat magazine that he doesn’t believe in self-censorship.
He remarked: “What line? I have no interest in drawing lines! ITV freak out when they give me a show, but they know that I mean well and whatever I say, it comes from a good place. I don’t do anything I wouldn’t do in everyday life.”
D’Acampo also voiced his indifference to critics, telling the outlet: “Without sounding like an a**hole, I don’t care what people have to say about me. On social media, for example, why would I even bother reading comments and replying?” reports .

Additionally, he recognised the divided opinions that celebrities often encounter: “Of course there are some people who are going to love what you do and some people who are going to hate it.”
In a fresh eco-centric endeavour, TV chef Gino has teamed up with First Dates host Fred Sirieix for an ITV series titled ‘Emission Impossible’. The show aims to shed light on the global warming crisis as the pair journey through Austria and Croatia.
However, it seems has been left out of the latest series. The popular programme featuring the trio previously came to an end when Gino decided to exit.
Gino made waves in March last year when he announced that he would “not film any more Gordon, Gino and Fred Road Trips” citing contract disputes and behind-the-scenes issues as his reasons for stepping down.
Gino said he had ceased filming Gordon, Gino and Fred road trips.
Despite this, many fans have pointed out that ‘Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip’ is actually produced by Gordon Ramsay’s own company, Studio Ramsay, which was founded in 2018.
Brushing off rumours of a rift, Gino hinted at another chapter of their hit series, saying: “We’ve all been friends for a long time.”
He revealed: “Gordon text me yesterday saying ‘How are you buddy?’ And I just spent five days with Fred on holiday in Sardinia. We love doing it and it’s very much on the cards. We want to do Australia next.”
He described the primary obstacle, stating: “But the main issue is two very busy individuals – Fred and Gordon – and one guy who only works six months of the year. Right now Gordon is the busiest so Fred and I have filmed something together instead.”
