Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2024 holiday card has arrived — and it includes a touching photo of Archie and Lilibet!
“On behalf of the office of Prince Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions, and Archewell Foundation, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year,” reads the card, sent to TODAY.com by The Archewell Foundation.
The card holds six photos of the royal couple, including a shot with their 5-year-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and their 3-year-old daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
In the image, which was shot outside, the children run into their parents’ arms, surrounded by their three dogs: Pula, a black Labrador and two rescue beagles named Guy and Momma Mia.
In other images, Meghan and Harry smile during their August 2024 trip to Cartagena, Colombia and their May 2024 travels to Nigeria.
Meghan and Harry don’t often show the public their children’s faces. Giving Archie and Lilibet somewhat of a normal life was one reason they stepped away from their royal duties in 2020 and subsequently moved to the U.S.
“It was never walking away,” Harry told James Corden of “The Late, Law Show” in 2021. “It was stepping back rather than stepping down. It was a really difficult environment, as I think a lot of people saw. We all know what the British press can be like, and it was destroying my mental health.”
Harry added, “I was like, ‘This is toxic,’ so I did what any husband and what any father would do, is like, ‘I need to get my family out of here.’ But we never walked away, and as far as I’m concerned, whatever decisions are made on that side, I will never walk away. I will always be contributing, but my life is public service, so wherever I am in the world, it’s going to be the same thing.”
