are one of the most popular renowned for their beautiful, glossy green leaves and striking white . However, not all peace lilies are guaranteed to bloom.

Don’t give up if you’re frustrated by the lack of floral growth in your peace lily. Most varieties are known for producing white or cream-coloured flowers.

If your peace lily is healthy and has matured enough, it will likely make flowers. However, some varieties of peace lilies may be more prone to flowering than others.

For example, the Spathiphyllum wallisii and Spathiphyllum sensation varieties are popular for their attractive flowers and are more likely to produce blooms.

Other varieties, such as Spathiphyllum cochlearispathum, may produce fewer flowers or none at all.

For those with the most common peace lily, the Spathiphyllum wallisii, it shouldn’t be difficult to encourage them to bloom.

Taking to the Facebook page Hints and Tips, Hannah HB shared a photo of her peace lily bursting with 13 blooms – all of which looked healthy and vibrant.

She noted in the caption that when she first bought the plant it only had one leaf and now has managed to massively transform it and essentially bring it back to life.

Hannah wrote: “Our peace lily. Bought when it had one leaf! Lovely.” Her post was flooded with likes and many group members were in the comments section asking how she managed this.

Sue Morgan commented: “I have one it was in flower when I was given it for my birthday last August. Not flowered since. Do you know how to force it into flowering like yours please?”

Hannah was quick to respond saying: “We have plant food that we give it once a week. It’s Miracle Gro indoor plant food.”

Explaining further, she said: “One drop of Miracle-Gro in 500mls of water once a week all year round – but that differs depending on how it looks. Please update with your plant after a few weeks.”

Flowering takes a lot of energy from plants, so giving your peace lily feed regularly will help give them a boost.

Aside from feeding her peace lily, Hannah also keeps it by her living room window which only receives indirect sunlight.

Peace lilies do best in bright, filtered, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as this can burn the plant’s leaves.
