Tipping Point came a close second
One wrote: “Deal or No Deal. It was just randomly opening boxes, but contestants always talked about their strategies. And to make matters worse, Noel bloody Edmonds.”
“Does Deal or No Deal count? If so, that’s your answer. Clapping or crying at people opening boxes does not constitute entertainment,” another echoed. While a third added: “Deal or No Deal. What a stupid show. ‘I have a plan’, no you don’t!”
However, it seemed that Ben Shepherd’s show Tipping Point came out in second place. One user shared: “Of what’s on now I find Tipping Point the most infuriating.
“A quiz show should reward knowledge and skill but one that is based on luck and something you can’t control like dropping a counter is baffling. That said, I do still watch it a lot.”
Another added: “People saying stuff like Tipping Point and The Wheel have no idea how bad these shows can be,” while a third penned: “Tipping Point comes a close second.”
Don’t miss… [UPDATE]
Bradley Walsh’s The Chase came out on top as the best show
On the other side of the coin, fans decided that one show came out “on top”, with others being “untouchable”. A fan wrote: “The evergreens are untouchable really.
“Family Fortunes, Catchphrase, Bullseye. Of ‘recent’ introduction the only decent one is The Chase. The Chase is top banana.”
Someone else praised the show, writing: “It’s just a good show because it’s actually simple. All the rest need gimmicks and a big fancy prop set.
“The Chase is just answer some questions to see how much money you get, answer some multiple choice questions to see if you get to the final round, then work as a group to answer as many questions as possible. Then you gotta hope the other guy doesn’t answer more questions than you did.
“That’s it, no luck involved, no gimmick, just answering more questions right than the other guy. It also helps that Bradley Walsh is quick witted enough to make it work.”
