Home Alone In Concert: If you’d like to watch Home Alone in public with an entire symphony, the FILMharmonique Orchestra has a Saturday concept for you!

You’ve probably never seen the left-behind holiday classic full of Bugs-Bunny-level slapstick like this — but please make sure you have all your children with you getting to and from the show, OK?

Christmas in the Hull Block: Chinese Transformation Collaborative is doing its annual Brown Bag Giveaway on Saturday morning, where volunteers are assembling and delivering a hopeful 1,500 gift parcels for local seniors and social agencies around town.

After that’s done, the Community Christmas Party will happen on a shut-down 97 Street between 106 and 107A avenues starting at 1 p.m., with free horse and wagon rides, cotton candy, popcorn, and little gifts for children at Hull Block proper — plus free Santa photos by McBain Camera, Larry Wong, Larry Louie, and Steve Edgerton.

A Drawing a Day Until Christmas: One of the best free advent calendars is local artist Dana Holst’s annual series of lovely renderings — one showing up every morning at 10 a.m. on Insta.

These cute, lovely, and often funny originals are each for sale, but they are also worth looking at to motivate yourself with a little daily joy.

Also well worth a look is the art from her dhARTworld gallery’s latest group show Hold Fast. The space is open 12-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and by appointment on weekends at 12030 Fort Road.

Art from the heart forever!
