Whilst an increasingly high percentage of Brits typically buy cars made in a wide range of foreign countries, over the years the UK has made a wide range of interesting and enjoyable models.

However, a study by the specialist car insurance provider has found that some are set to vanish from the roads in the coming years, with the set to disappear first.

Built from 1991 to 2003, the Frontera was first attempt at producing an , offering attractive styling that made it an instant hit with British buyers, despite not having the best reputation for build quality.

Adrian Flux also warned that a number of classic Rovers may soon vanish from UK streets if the current rate at which they are being scrapped continues into future years.

This includes the majority of models built by the company in the late 1990s, such as the 200, 400, and 75, plus a number of older cars, including the iconic Metro.

Introduced in 1980, and substantially revised in 1990 with the inclusion of the K-Series line of engines, more than two million Austin Rover Metros were produced, with many examples remaining in the UK.

Despite this, the insurance company warned that all examples may have disappeared from the roads by 2031.
