Jamie Foxx Mocks Diddy In New Stand-Up Special About His Near-Death Experience

Jamie Foxx is finally cracking jokes again — and aiming some at Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The Oscar-winning actor opened up in his new Netflix special, “What Had Happened Was,” about the mysterious medical emergency that saw him hospitalized last year, revealing it was a brain bleed and stroke, and addressed all the conspiracy theories surrounding it.

The first wave of baffling social media chatter suggested Foxx was cloned, but after Combs’ arrest following claims of illicit “freak-off” parties where he allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted women, some argued Foxx attended — and suffered his stroke after being poisoned.

“The internet said that Puffy tried to kill me,” said Foxx in his special released Tuesday. “That’s what the internet was saying. I know what you’re thinking — did he? Hell no n***a, I left them parties early. I was out by 9 n***a, something don’t look right. It’s slippery in here.”

That particular dig regarded the “more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant” that federal authorities said they recovered in March after raiding Combs’ homes, per the 14-page indictment that prompted his September arrest on charges including sex trafficking.

Foxx went on to note that “Atlanta saved my life,” as his health scare occurred in April 2023 while he was filming “Back in Action” opposite Cameron Diaz, and doctors quickly operated on him. He then revealed that, when he woke up on May 4, 2023, he “couldn’t walk.”

The actor eventually regained control of his physical autonomy, however, and started making public appearances to jubilant reception from his supporters. In his special, Foxx said it was a difficult year, but that the near-death experience itself was “oddly peaceful.”

Foxx was hospitalized in April 2023 and said in his special that he was "out" for 20 days.

“I saw the tunnel — I didn’t see the light,” he added. “I was in the tunnel though. It was hot in that tunnel. Shit, am I going to the wrong place in this motherfucker? ’Cause I looked to the end of the tunnel and I thought I saw the devil like, ‘Come on, n***a.’ Or was that Puffy?”

Foxx continued, “I’m fucking around, but if it was Puffy, he had like a flamin’ bottle of Johnson and [Johnson].”
