BBC Antiques Road Trip expert reveals bizarre link to ‘boss’ Dominic Littlewood

expert Natasha Raskin Sharp left her celebrity co-star gobsmacked after she revealed their unusual link.

Narrated by Tim Wonnacott, the series follows antiques experts who team up with two celebrity guests to see who can turn the biggest profit for charity.

Each team is given a budget of £400 to find five treasures along their travels to put up for auction at the end of the week.

During this week’s celebrity edition of the show, beloved TV presenters Dominic Littlewood and Melinda Messenger – who starred on Cowboy Traders together – ditched grilling dodgy tradesmen for stubborn shopkeepers in the name of charity.

The 59-year-old broadcaster was teamed up with the bubbly brunette expert as they meandered through antiques shops in search of the most valuable treasures.

Later on in the show, the 38-year-old art dealer revealed her unexpected link to the broadcaster 18 years before they met.

As they drove to their next destination, Natasha cheekily teased: “Do you want to know something cool? I’m sure you remember fondly [your show] Don’t Get Done, Get Dom.

“Well, I remember it fondly too because when I was in university and between terms, I did an internship at White City at the , and I interned at Don’t Get Done, Get Dom. We never met but I feel like you’re my old boss.”

Dom couldn’t wait to ask: “So you can tell me now because it won’t go back to them. What were they saying about me in the office?” to which Natasha simply replied: “They said you were delightful.”

After scouring for treasures, Mel spent £275 of her £400 on her five chosen items. She bought a Victorian horse £30, novelty cabinet £37, an ammonite fossil £55, a collection of Roman coins £55, and a Spanish jug £30.

Mwanwhile, Dom spent all of his budget on his five items. He bought a collection of stuffed animals £70, brass plates £15, a duo of vases £250, a watercolour drawing £30, and a toy mule £35.

It started off on a rocky ride for Dom who made several losses with his items until they stumbled across his big ticket item, a dup of vases.

The pair paid £250 for the set and managed to sell them at auction for an impressive £650 – giving them £400 in profit. Despite her clean record or profits, Melinda struggled to beat her co-star’s staggering success, with just £150 profit made on her big ticket item which was a Spanish jug.

At the end of the show, Dom and Natasha were crowned the winners after maing an impressive £213 profit after auction costs, with Melinda and Tom makig £153 profit. All the money raised was donated to Children in Need.
