sparked backlash as Deputy Prime Minister appeared on Monday December 10’s show for a chat.
As Rayner was asked about subjects such as her viral ‘Angela Raver’ video, and why being a granny means she can be a little bit naughty, viewers were left furious.
They rushed to social media to ask why Rayner wasn’t asked about more serious subjects as Labour faces backlash from the public.
One said: ” has found her level with Lorraine. Not too much for her to worry about with this interview.”
Another added: “Lorraine Kelly, so far up ‘s a**e it is shocking on TV this morning.”
A third chipped in: ” is a liar plays the victim goes on about being working class then abuses donations & expenses on her heating She is using our taxpayers money on photographer for vanity purposes, you could tell she was lying Lorraine should asked her tough questions.”
A fourth chimed in: “Watching Lorraine doing her best Dave Skylark impression interviewing .”

Angela discussed how she deals with the scrutiny of public life as a female member of parliament, and whether it has changed since becoming Deputy PM, Angela said: “I think for me it’s just the same because there’s always been this fascination because I’m not your average politician.”
She added: “I am quite an interesting character to people in parliament so I’ve always had that level of scrutiny and as a woman as well, you feel like you have to prove yourself. You go into a room and they don’t suddenly think ‘oh well you’re a natural leader’, so therefore coming from a working class background and being a woman you kind of feel like, okay, I’ve got to earn the respect in the room, which is fine.”

She was also asked about the viral video which saw her partying in Ibiza just weeks after Labour came into power, which sparked fury with the public as both her and Starmer left the country within days of each other.
Angela said: “I was out for a couple of days with my friends letting my hair down and Fisher is a great guy, I get on really well with him. That wasn’t an image that I was projecting, that’s just me, I like to go out and have a good time with my friends, I don’t get to do it as often as I used to, but it’s part of my personality!”
