The beloved Liverpudlian revealed that contestants endured a night beyond the camp’s confines due to severe weather conditions.

The 38-year-old had just missed out on becoming jungle royalty, finishing in runner-up to McFly’s Danny Jones on Sunday’s finale.

Reflecting on her rollercoaster experience with ‘s hit reality show, Coleen divulged the ups and downs, mentioning how they had to abandon camp one night amidst unprecedented storms.

Battling against harsh caffeine and sugar withdrawal symptoms, Coleen confessed the initial days down under were rather “tough before it started getting better.”

However, the improvement was short-lived as she said: “As it got better, the weather got worse. And then that was tough,” reports .

Labelled as the most extreme weather ever faced by the show, the crew was pummelled by relentless tempests, leading to a memorable disruption.

“There was one night where we got all got woken up in the early hours in the morning to go into the Bush Telegraph because of a storm,” she recalled.

“I was asleep in there, Alan was asleep. You think this isn’t what we thought the jungle would be.”

Reflecting on moments of vulnerability during her candid conversation post-show, Coleen acknowledged that within a week, doubts regarding her stint began to surface, particularly from missing her family terribly.

After only a few days, she was overwhelmed with emotion and broke down in tears upon seeing her husband Wayne Rooney and their sons’ images adorned on her pillow.

“In that first week, I did wake up one morning and I saw on the pillow, Wayne and the kids, and I had a little cry. I thought I don’t know whether I can go all this way,” she reminisces. However, she quickly pulled herself together by focusing on her tasks – particularly washing up.

“I went off and did the washing up, collected the wood and did whatever I had to do,” she explains. “I just got on with it.”
