ITV fans have criticized show bosses, accusing them of unfair treatment toward one player
fans have criticised bosses, accusing them of unfair treatment toward one of the players. As viewers know, contestants put their lives on hold to appear on the show, staying in a hotel and participating as box openers until they are selected to sit in the hot seat and face the banker.
One player, Brian, who has become a fan favorite thanks to his likable personality and trademark Hawaiian shirts, has been part of the show since its launch on October 28th. However, despite his long-standing presence, Brian has yet to be picked to play.
Adding to the frustration, every time a contestant gets their turn, their spot is replaced by a new player—and many of these newcomers have already been chosen to face the banker before Brian. Fans feel this is unfair, noting that Brian has waited longer than anyone else, all while putting his life on hold to participate in the show.
One fan blasted on X: “Brian on his first show 300 years ago,” accompanied by a video of a newborn baby.
“Anyone else wonder when Brian is going to have the chance to play Deal or No Deal as he’s literally been there from the start! He’ll be running out of jazzy shirts if he carries on!” said a second.
“Seriously when is it going to be Brian’s time? I swear he has been there since series 1 and still not getting his opportunity, not fair!” said another, with many other fans posting pictures of a skeleton wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
