The Deputy Leader of Reform UK has delivered a scathing seven-word response on social media after being criticised by a .

The outburst was prompted by Luke Robert Black, the Chairman of LGBT , who accused Anderson of being “very tetchy, febrile and easily wound up”.

The whole debate began when an X account called ‘Have I Got News For You’ posted a photo of looking rather confused on trying to answer a question which read: “How do we balance border control, diversity and pressure on local services.”

The accompanying caption said: “Stumped by the question and down to his last lifeline, one Who Wants To Be A Millionaire contestant realises that phoning his friend Lee isn’t going to win him the jackpot.”

:

Mr Anderson then replied.

He said: “When we’ve sorted border control out we’re coming for YOU next. That’ll save us a few billion a year.” Although the account is not run by the or by the show of the same name, comments to his reply indicate that Mr Anderson was referencing the broadcaster.

Mr Black then joined the debate by tweeting: “Here’s their ‘Chief Whip’, who sent himself verbally abusive texts on WhatsApp and lied about it for attention, wanting to shut down a programme because it’s critical of his party. So much for freedom of speech.” It’s not clear what Mr Black was referencing.

But Mr Anderson gave a quick retort. He said: “Never heard of you. But just a quick check of your tweets tells me you are driving more proper our way. Keep up the great work.”

For good measure he added a seven word swipe, saying “it must be great being politically stupid.”

The heated online debate comes as . , ahead of Labour’s 23% and close to the on 26%.

Mr Farage has also emerged as one of the most popular political figures, while leader faces .

However, Mr Farage himself has been at the centre of heated discussions on migration, .

During the debate on December 5, an audience member compared Reform’s anti-migrant rhetoric to the demonisation of Jewish people in 1930s Germany, warning of the dangers of such language.

Mr Farage defended his stance, saying that illegal migrants crossing the Channel are not genuine refugees.

“Let them all in,” Mr Farage said sarcastically at one point, countering claims that his policies lacked substance.

He added: “The UK has always opened its doors to genuine refugees, but undocumented young males crossing the Channel are not refugees in any sense of the word.”

The fiery debate continued as former Downing Street press secretary Alastair Campbell joined the fray, accusing Farage of exploiting political issues for personal gain.

“ was a fundamentally damaging thing for this country,” Campbell said, blaming Mr Farage for economic and social challenges since the referendum.

Mr Farage dismissed Campbell’s criticisms, calling him “the worst loser in the world” and urging him to “get over .”
