fans are sure they know what keeps landing star in the dance-off – despite perfect scores from the judges.
This weekend, Tasha and her pro partner ended up in the bottom two for the second week in a row, dancing off against TOWIE’s . Pete was eliminated – but a devastated Tasha was clearly emotional at the public vote after receiving a 40 from the judges.
But now fans are sure they know what Tasha’s doing wrong – and it’s nothing to do with her technique. Taking to , user u/vintagesoaps suggested: “Am I the only one that understands why Tasha keeps getting in the dance off? I know not everyone watches Love Island, but she quite literally says in her intro clip ‘I’m a model and a dancer’… her profession is a DANCER, she’s a professional?
“I do like her, I think she’s lovely and she is amazing at dancing, but I don’t think it’s fair and I don’t think she deserves to win.
“I get JB has had dance experience before, but no one would label him a professional dancer. He’s been taught the odd routine for a music video or concert but he isn’t professionally trained in a certain genre of dance.
Don’t miss…
Tasha has landed in the dance-off twice
“And I know Tasha isn’t ballroom or Latin trained, but she is a professional dancer, she knows how it works and she knows how to dance well with a partner, there has been no progress since week one. It’s the journey and improvement that I think is deserving of a win.”
Someone else argued: “It is impossible to start with a level playing field because where do you stop?
“A musician is likely to have the advantage of understanding rhythm over a footballer. An actor is going to be able to get into the role of each dance better than a celebrity chef. Anyone who has been to drama school will have had some dance training.
Fans have picked up on a ‘mistake’ Tasha has made
“[In my opinion], the only way to remove that kind of advantage is to assess them all and then give them a points-based handicap. Doesn’t sound too fun though and it would probably put lots of celebrities off, but maybe if they did it, it’d soon become a familiar part of the show.”
Someone else said: “Chris is the only finalist who is genuinely not a ‘dancer’ prior to the show. Personally I’m happy to see people go in with prior dancing experience. I think there’s a difference between having dance experience and being a competitive dancer.”
