Strictly Come Dancing fans all issue same complaint as BRIT award winner Raye performs

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Raye took to the stage for the semi-final results show to perform her track Genesis pt. iii. However, the jazzy number had some viewers making comparisons to another chanteuse – Amy Winehouse.

Many people took to X to air their opinion. One commented: “Just popped Amy Winehouse’s name into Temu search bar and the name Raye popped up! #strictly.”

Another was equally unimpressed, writing: “As basically Amy Winehouse 2.0. is she over Raye-ted, or am I just old and grumpy?”

A third opined: “That Raye’s just a s*** Amy Winehouse #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.” Others seemed to agree with the opinion writing:”Poundland Amy Winehouse #Strictly.”

Another said: “Plan b Amy Winehouse #Strictly.”

However, some viewers were more complimentary. One was impressed observing: “I haven’t heard Raye before. Wow! I have no doubt the comparison has been made with Amy Winehouse. Raye is amazing. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.” Another lamented: “Imagine Raye and Amy Winehouse on the same stage. What a chance we sadly missed. #Strictly”
