Conor McGregor responded with a succinct three-letter comment to Justin Watson’s astonishing two-second knockout of Cole Ferrell at BKFC 69 on Friday night. This comes amidst criticism of the Irishman’s social media activity during his recent court appearance.

McGregor, like many others, was left speechless after witnessing the American featherweight achieve what could be the fastest knockout in history during his bare-knuckle boxing match against Ferrell in Georgia. BKFC, or Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship, is a promotion co-owned by UFC star McGregor where Watson’s remarkable achievement took place.

The fight was part of the undercard for Keith Richardson vs. Michael Larrimore and completely stole the show, making headlines worldwide.

Few viewers tuning into the Watson vs. Ferrell bout would have expected to witness such a historic moment.

However, Watson’s daring decision to launch a massive overhand right at his opponent as soon as the fight began resulted in just that. Referee Bryan Miner had barely stepped back to start the contest when he had to spring into action again, with Ferrell immediately collapsing to the canvas, clearly unable to recover from the devastating blow.

Miner started a knockdown count but quickly realised the fight was over, calling it off after just two seconds.

The boxing world is still reeling from the shocking upset where underdog Steve Watson defeated all expectations. Despite coming off of two consecutive losses and expected to fall to his opponent, Ferrell, the 37 year old fighter delivered a performance so dazzling it could rival a script.

The knockout came so swiftly that it caught the attention of the bare-knuckle combat community’s equivalent to Conor McGregor, who couldn’t contain his excitement. He praised the achievement on his story, exclaiming: “The world’s fastest KO, WOW.”

Even McGregor, known for his rapid victories, acknowledged the significance of Watson’s triumph, which overshadowed his own record-setting 13-second defeat of Jose Aldo back in 2015 at UFC 194 – a victory that catapulted him to international fame.
