Mariah Carey’s famous exes – including one of world’s richest men

is best known for topping the charts with her melodic and enchanting hits including We Belong Together, Fantasy, Hero and Caution.

In addition to being regarded as a legendary singer, the icon has a star-studded dating history, having had relationships with music executives, dancers, and models.

While the Grammy winner has kept quiet about her many rumoured romances, she was famously married to Sony Music Entertainment CEO, Tommy Mottola.

After five years of dating, Mariah was 23 years old when she married the businessman who was 21 years her senior.

Reflecting on the relationship which ended in divorce in 1998, she told : “Maybe you’d better paint a child as a bride, I was very controlled. I had no freedom as a human being. It was almost like I was a prisoner.”

During her marriage, Mariah began a year-long “sensual” affair with baseball player Derek Jeter which inspired her to write her 1997 hits My All and The Roof.

In his 2013 memoir, Tommy later admitted their relationship was “absolutely wrong and inappropriate.”

Following their divorce, Mariah moved on and married TV host Nick Cannon in 2008, and they welcomed twins in 2011, a daughter Monroe and a son Morrocco.

However, they parted ways in 2016 which the performer put down to the demands of their careers, which she shared in her memoir took a toll on their relationship.

Two years later, the 55-year-old accepted a short-lived proposal from Australian billionaire James Packer but ended things after an eight-month engagement.

While Mariah didn’t mention him in her 2020 memoir, she confessed that they didn’t “have a physical relationship.”

In recent years, the mother of two has dated her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka, 10 years after they toured together.

Mariah confirmed their relationship in February 2016 after she called him her “boyfriend.”

However, Page Six confirmed their split in December 2023, with a source revealing that the choreographer “wanted to have a family as the insider noted: “That’s not where she’s at.”
