Greg Davies shot to fame in The Inbetweeners and The Taskmaster
Comedian Greg Davies has become a giant in the comedy world.
The Welsh actor first shot to fame when he took on the role of the head of Sixth Form, Mr Gilbert, in back in the 2008. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength, starring in beloved sitcoms such as Cuckoo and The Cleaner.
But most famously, the comic has portrayed the all-powerful and unyielding alongside his co-star and loving assistant, Alex Horne.
Throughout the course of his career, the 56-year-old silver fox has since developed a strong and dedicated fanbase after making audiences laugh for decades.
Born to Welsh parents, Greg grew up in Shropshire in the West Midlands before moving to London to study at Brunel University. Before taking the world of British comedy by storm, Greg taught as a teacher of English and Drama at several schools.

Pictures of the comedian during his teaching career have emerged
The TV star has been open about his previous job as a teacher, and regularly shared hilarious stories from his time in the education system in his various stand-up comedy routines.
Now, pictures of the comic working as a teacher during a drama performance have emerged online from a former student. Greg can be seen sporting a blue button-down shirt which he layered under a matching blue jumper and teamed with a pair of black trousers.
He accessorised his ensemble with a black trilby hat as he read from a script while two students stood hand in hand in the background.
In another snap, the star could be seen wearing a polo shirt and black trousers which he layered with a gold glittery jacket and a grey curly wig as he clutched a script in his hands.
The user went on to share a clip from a school play produced in 2000 which saw the actor play an inspired Christmas sketch with his fellow school cast members.
They captioned the clip: “My mum found these pictures from when Greg Davies worked at her school and wtf [three cry-laughing emojis]”.
It didn’t take long before fans flooded to the comments to share their surprise online. One user penned: “This is an amazing find!!!” as another echoed: “Exactly how I’d imagine him to be at school too. Legend.”
A third chimed in with: “He worked at my school, years before I went there but he taught my brother. He brought his guitar and let my brother have a little jam on it.” The actor previously opened up to the about one hilarious moment he recalled from his teaching career.
He told the publication: “I had one buttock-clenchingly embarrassing moment when the head called me in to tell me one of my pupils had nominated me for the prestigious Teacher of the Year award.
“The pupil had to fill in four pages of documentation, but on the form she had simply written one thing. It said: ‘Mr Davies is a well good laugh, and he don’t make us do no work.’ The head wiped away tears of laughter before throwing the form in the bin.”
