Notre Dame reopening LIVE: Princess Kate and Donald Trump among star-studded guest list

Princess Kate and US President-elect Donald Trump are both on the star-studded guest list for the reopening of the iconic in Paris.

The famous French landmark was badly damaged in a 2019 fire and has undergone extensive works over the past half a decade to restore it.

The will be joined by husband and dozens of world leaders at the event after being invited by French president

The reopening is set to include the ritualised opening of the cathedral’s massive doors, the reawakening of its thunderous organ and the celebration of the first Mass.

On Saturday evening, Archbishop Laurent Ulrich will lead more than 1,500 guests through a reopening service. Part two, on Sunday, is an inaugural Mass, with special rites to consecrate the main altar.

Around 50 world leaders and heads of state are set to attend the event.

and Princess Kate will be representing Britain at the event.

Other guests include US President-Elect . Sitting President will not be at the event.

Cathedral to reopen after £700million

More than £700million has been spent on restoring the Paris landmark following the fire in 2019.

The cathedral is set to receive its official reopening over the weekend.
