Justin Rose has offered a sneak peek into what golf enthusiasts can anticipate from the soon-to-be-launched golf league TGL, featuring Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods. Rose is among several PGA Tour players on the TGL roster, representing Los Angeles Golf Club alongside Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala and fellow Brit Tommy Fleetwood.

This marks the latest development in the ever-evolving world of professional golf, with the league set to take place in an indoor stadium.

As the inaugural week of TGL draws nearer, Rose has tested out the state-of-the-art simulator, sharing a swing clip with his followers on X after visiting the league’s Florida base.

Rose was at the SoFi Center with his LA teammates, posting a photo of the indoor simulator with the caption: “Really great day @TGL with Team @WeAreLAGC. Can’t wait for the first match in January…”

“From the very beginning, I was drawn to the Club’s commitment to their fans and their impact focus in the Los Angeles community. We are mission and vision aligned and I’m thrilled to be joining LAGC.”

Rose is poised to dive into the TGL fray during the second week of the 2025 season, squaring off against Jupiter Links GC.

On January 14, a team helmed by none other than golf legend and league founder Woods. Speculations had swirled that Woods might not make an appearance at the inaugural event of the cutting-edge simulator league due to his battle with persistent injuries.

The 82-time PGA Tour champion’s presence in the game has been under scrutiny following his ongoing recovery from back surgery in September.

“The surgery went smoothly and I’m hopeful this will help alleviate the back spasms and pain I was experiencing throughout most of the 2024 season,” he remarked at the time.

Despite hopes for a return, Tiger’s comeback faced setbacks as late as last month when he bowed out of the Hero World Challenge—a tournament earmarked for his return.

Although absent from the playing field, Woods remains involved at the event in the Bahamas, where on Tuesday he shared a candid health bulletin: “I’m not physically ready yet to compete at this level. “I’m just not sharp enough to compete against these guys at his level. When I’m ready to compete I will play.

“In a subsequent revelation to Sports Illustrated, Woods conveyed optimism about participating in TGL, but confided that, were the premiere happening imminently, he’d be hard-pressed to participate. Keep up with us on X for premium, real-time sports coverage.
