host Sangita Myska has admitted that she underwent a ‘disorienting, distressing & isolating experience’ when she disappeared from her job in April.

The former presenter had hosted an early afternoon phone-in on LBC Radio since 2022, but earlier this year her contract wasn’t renewed and she was replaced by Vanessa Feltz.

Her exit in April came after her comments about the -Palestine conflict, which saw listeners accuse LBC of taking her off air for “asking difficult questions”.

Sangita has now shared an update in a brand new post on X when she met a fan of hers. She reposted the photo and captioned it with: “In April, I was ‘disappeared’ from air at LBC.

“It was a disorienting, distressing & isolating experience. Unknown to me, 1 listener, a respected scientist, began an unprecedented petition to express his concern. 40,000 of you signed it. I’d never met that listener, until…”

The listener turned out to be David Noble, who took a selfie with her and posted it with: “and I have finally met. She is everything you’d expect and more. This friendship was forged in the strangest of circumstances, and I’m sure it will endure.”

At the time of Sangita’s disappearance, over 170 broadcasters, journalists, politicians and academics signed an open letter demanding why she has been off air for so long.

There was also a petition which reached over 40,000 signatures and it demanded LBC to re-sign Sangita. The creator, David, said in the petition that he was “deeply saddened” that she had left the station.

Many of her followers have flocked the comments section with warm words. One person replied: “It was great to be on your programme – thank you for so sensitively handling a difficult subject. It’s LBC’s loss – I’m so sorry this happened.”

A second also chimed in: “I signed that petition, and when I sent it to people, it was a great response. Don’t think you realise how much you are missed.”

A third also said: “Never agreed with everything you said, but I hate echo chambers, so that was good for me. I did like your show and made a point of listening to it. LBC is going downhill, in my opinion. I don’t listen to it much these days.”
