Darren Till wants to fight following the cancellation of his fight with .
Till was due to face Fury next month but the brother of former heavyweigh world champion Tyson pulled out on Friday after Till threatened to kick him in the head if he was losing the bout. Paul, meanwhile, has been making waves since his 2020 debut. With an impressive 11-1 record, the American has vanquished notable opponents such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. Paul clinched a unanimous decision win over ex-heavyweight champ Mike Tyson last month.
Despite enjoying a well-deserved break, the American boxer has been challenged by several fighters in recent weeks. Boxing champions Daniel Dubois and Artur Beterbiev have both expressed interest in taking on the American. And now former UFC star Till, 31, has thrown his hat into the ring to fight ‘The Problem Child’.
In a strongly worded social media post, Till criticised Fury before challenging Paul. The post read: ” Tommy Fury you are the biggest s***house I have ever met in my life do not ever call yourself a fighter again. I was selling the fight to make me and you more money you absolute empty head fighting family my ass you and ur dad s***houses I don’t need to throw kicks you was getting knocked spark out you divvy we was making bank on this fight cos of me not you I was building It you should be fighting and should be thanking me… over and out.. no one wants to fight me… Jake Paul what are you up to you big fat dummy? “.
Tommy Fury pulled out his fight with Darren Till
In a fiery video response, Till lashed out: “What’s happening everyone? I’ve just got to the gym, about to do me sparring this morning and I’ve just been shown that Tommy Fury has put up a f****** post saying that he’s not not fighting because I threatened to kick him in the head. I said I’d kick him in the head at the press conference as a mental warfare tactic. And since then, I haven’t said anything else. I’ve been hard at work in the gym and preparing for this boxing match with him on January 18. I said to everyone that Tommy was going to pull out regardless of anything.”
“I f****** knew it since the press conference. So, now it’s confirmed what I said, he’s a s***house, his family are s***houses and now Tommy’s not fighting. I’ve been hard at work, boxing for two years, haven’t thrown a kick in two years. I threw one kick on a video as a mental warfare tactic. Never in a million years would I throw a headkick in a fight that’s only boxing rules. I stick to the rules, I abide by the rules throughout my whole career. So now, I’ve gone to the gym to do my sparring this morning and Tommy Fury has pulled out. Tommy Fury, you are the biggest s***house I have ever come across… you are not a man.”
Following Fury’s announcement that he would withdraw from their bout, Paul simply reacted with: “Hahahaha”. The internet sensation had previously lost to Fury and has been eager for a rematch.
