It is now possible to smell like the Champagne of beers.
On Dec. 3, Miller High Life launched Miller High Life Dive Bar-Fume, a perfume that takes all the flavors and aromas of a neighborhood dive bar and bottles it for your spritzing pleasure.
“Dreaming of bringing that comforting dive bar scent home with you?” reads a description of the eau de happy hour. “High Life is bringing that dive bar scent you know and love to your home with High Life Dive Bar-Fume, just in time for the holidays.”
Miller High Life says the fragrance blends the craft of perfumery with “dive bar notes,” including:
- Cedarwood and patchouli: Inspired by the wood of a bar top.
- Tobacco and leather: For the scent of well-worn barstools.
- Champaca blossom: A flowery scent the brand says is reminiscent of a bartender cracking open a Miller High Life.
- Sea salt: For the basket of fries the Champagne of beers will soon wash down.
From Dec. 4 — 6, fans over the age of 21 have been able to try and get their hands on the fragrance in limited daily drops at 12 p.m. ET for $60, while supplies last. The hoppy cologne quickly sold out on the first and second days, but there’s one more chance to get your hands on a golden bottle.
TODAY’s own Carson Daly shared the news during PopStart on Dec. 5, along with a sample.
“Because we are investigative journalists here around here at PopStart we tracked down a bottle,” Daly said to the co-hosts.
Al Roker quickly grabbed the bottle and spritzed willing volunteer Savannah Guthrie.
“How do I smell?” she asked.
“It’s weird,” Al replied. “It’s a little piney.”
Hoda Kotb said she smelled a “lemony” note, and Savannah said it “smells like Carson’s house,” and he agreed.
“It smells like me, but what does that smell like?” Carson asked as he took a bottle of Miller High Life, uncapped it with a bottle opener he conveniently had in his suit jacket, and dabbed a little beer on his neck before taking a foamy sip. “How do I smell?”
