However, it has since been claimed by that Slot didn’t go into the referee’s room at St. James’ Park but instead had a ‘normal’ conversation with Madley in the tunnel.
As a result, it was reported that Amazon, who blamed the mistake on a production misunderstanding, reached out to to express their regret about airing the claim.
Despite the suggestion, which proved to be untrue anyway, Slot refused to blame Madley’s performance on dropping points in his post-match debrief.
