Do you have any of these in your possession?
In his video, he explained: “In 1950, they only made 240,000 coins that means for £1,000 you could have bought all the 1950 pennies ever made. After the war there was a great shortage of small change.”

He added: “So to find a 1950 UK pre-decimal penny today, you are looking at between £30-£70, depending on condition.”
The collector then moved on to the 1918 KN penny, stating its value “depends on the condition”. He added: “A good grade 1918 KN penny can be over £30 but as the condition increases, such as an extra fine version, you would be looking at over £600.”
However, there’s another coin that could be worth even more.
Discussing the 1954 penny, the user revealed: “This is one of Britain’s most famous coin rarities. Many other coins are of equal or greater rarity, but for some reason the 1954 has become the best known of these rarities.”
“If for some crazy reason you ended up with a 1954 penny though even if only one is known to exist, then you really could be a millionaire,” he went on.
Even though these coins are scarce, it’s worth rummaging through your old coin hoard – the video has already attracted 1,000 likes and comments.
Viewers were quick to react, with one saying: “I have lots of these,” and another chiming in: “Oh my I have loads of these.”
