Viewers were shocked by the new twist
viewers shared their frustrations as the latest twist of the series was unveiled.
With less than a week until this year’s jungle royalty is crowned, fans are growing excited to witness the final four celebrities take part in the iconic Celebrity Cyclone trial.
The much-anticipated trial is a highlight for contestants and sees them battle wind, water, and obstacles as they make their way up a huge slip and slide holding giant stars.
But this year, the campmates will be going head-to-head to win a ticket to compete in the trial. The winner of the challenge will be exempt from the next two vote-offs and will proceed directly to the Celebrity Cyclone.
Holding a giant gold ticket with ‘Ticket to Cyclone’ written on it, Joel Dommett disclosed on Unpacked: “Whoever wins this will be safe from the next two vote-offs and will be guaranteed a place in the trial every celebrity wants to do.”

However, the new twist didn’t sit well with fans as they rushed to social media to complain.
“Not sure about that new announcement. Maybe immunity from one vote would be ok, but I don’t like the idea of someone just getting a pass to the cyclone,” one wrote.
Another viewer expressed their frustration, saying: “I hate this ticket to Cyclone thing… one of the best things about I’m a celeb coming to an end is seeing the camp mates collectively realise they’ve made it to cyclone and their faces… also.. doesn’t this mean that the public have less of a say on who goes?”
Third fumed: “This ticket to the cyclone thing is so ridiculous why are we talking immunity this far into the final week???”

A further viewer posted: “Immunity challenge to get to the cyclone and survive 2 vote offs??? I hate it!! Someone who deserves to be there could end up missing out because of this stupid twist.”
The iconic Celebrity Cyclone trial is reportedly set to get it’s own spin off series.
A TV insider told : “A spin-off show for the Cyclone makes absolute sense and across the industry it has always been considered a TV hit in waiting.
“Cyclone could evolve and use the core basis of the water slide to become a wider show.If the testing proves successful there is every intention to look at a full series in the future.”
The ITV source added: “Cyclone is such a hugely popular part of I’m A Celebrity that show bosses felt it was worth exploring ideas to see if anything might work as a stand alone show. They’ll be looking at all aspects of the game.”
