Progressive metal act Spiritbox has announced a new album and tour that will bring them to Vancouver’s PNE Forum in 2025. Here’s what you need to know:
Spiritbox: The Tsunami Sea North American Tour
When and where: May 6, 6:30 p.m. at PNE Forum
What is the latest album: Tsunami Sea will be released on March 7, 2025.
What to know about the tour: Two-time Grammy and Juno-nominated progressive metal act Spiritbox will release its new album, Tsunami Sea, in March and embark on a 24-date tour across the U.S. and Canada starting in April. The band will also play some European shows in February. The Vancouver Island-based band is coming off its second consecutive Grammy nomination in the best metal performance category, this time for its song Cellar Door, taken from its fourth album, the Fear of Fear. The Tsunami Sea is preceded by the singles Soft Spine and Perfect Soul, which continue to demonstrate the fast-rising act’s deft touch with heavy riffs and pop-ready harmonies and hooks. Besides its own tour, the band is also in the warm-up spot for select dates of Linkin Park’s world tour in Europe and the U.K.
Based on the speed at which other dates on the tour are selling out, it is quite likely that the Vancouver show will do the same. It is also possible that the show may move from the PNE Forum to the Pacific Coliseum, as has been the case with recent show announcements for Jamie xx and others.
