, who took part in in 2016, delivered his verdict on Jane Moore’s exit. The panellist, 62, was the first celebrity to be voted out of the jungle.
The presenter, 61, dished on the columnist’s exit.
Despite a smooth run, Jane’s composure was shaken during scenes aired last month (November 24), sparking a “sexist” row in camp.
Tensions came to a head after former camp leaders Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones doled out the daily chores to their fellow campmates, with the ITV star being given the role of washing up.
Jane pointedly called the assignment “ageist and sexist” but later claimed it was a joke.
Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts took part on I’m A Celebrity in 2016
Speaking exclusively to Express Online, Martin admitted he was “really surprised” to see Jane be the first celebrity to leave the show.
“I was really surprised,” the star commented. “I did a top ten, and she was number six.”
Martin continued: “She went way before I predicted she would. I thought she was solid, but she was just great. A lot of what she did probably didn’t get seen. She probably thought that by doing all the stuff, that would somehow be the case.
“But of course, they’ve got 12 people to split equally and give screentime. So it would be a very boring to show Jane doing the washing all the time.
“I can imagine she was upset, but I don’t think it was anything personal.”

I’m A Celeb’s Jane Moore was the first to leave the jungle
Addressing this year’s campmates, Martin said, “They’re all a great bunch of people,” but unfortunately, someone has to go.
He remarked: “It’s very difficult to separate out who should rightly or wrongly go. The longer it goes on, the more arbitrary in ways it is. Everyone is a winner in lots of ways. I hope Jane has not taken it too personally.”
