He said: “Here’s some big warning signs if you’re buying a used car, if this happens, don’t buy it.
“If you drive down the road and it swerves to one side or the other all the time, don’t buy it, it could have been in a wreck.
“If the engine is cold and it cranks like mad but it doesn’t start, don’t buy it.
“If you’re driving down the road and the temperature gauge keeps going up, don’t buy it, it could be hundreds of different things, why chance it?”

Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer for any damage before finalising a price and handing over any money. Even small amounts of damage could give motorists leeway to haggle money off the final price they pay, even for second-hand models.
Mike previously said: “Look out for any damage on the car. If there is any damage or stuff that needs repairing, you can use that as a way to negotiate the price down.
“I do it all the time on Wheeler Dealers. That’s what I’m looking for, cars that have got faults so I can negotiate the price down.”
